In Him was Life

Sunset through tree
As the Creator and Lord, God gets to determine and teach what is and isn’t good, proper and moral. Not us.

Our opinions and feelings and conscience on these matters are in the end irrelevant.
What our governments and universities teach or permit doesn’t make a thing acceptable or moral either.

God is the very standard of moral goodness. He is Holy. He is Love. He is never wrong or mistaken. He doesn’t need our societies help to see things ‘our way.’ We need His help to humble ourselves and to see everything His way.

When we veer away from His position it is never moral progress and enlightenment as we are endlessly told,- rather, it is always moral regress and a step further away from the light into deeper and deeper darkness.

Where your opinions on moral matters conflicts with Gods it is you who are wrong on that particular matter. It couldn’t be the case that you be right and God be wrong, could it? It could never be that God requires your intellect and moral reasoning on these matters could it? To attempt to correct God takes some serious flawed logic and bucket loads of misguided and dangerous (because it’s damning) pride.

You may not see this clearly now, but when all is said and done, and all the facts are finally in, God will be seen to be correct and in the right. On everything. Everything.

If you are someone who denies Gods existence, you too will come to see that the arguments you raise up, and at times even hide behind, were all fallacious and faulty in some way and they were not worth betting your soul on.

You will eventually get the “proof” you demand but at present God operates on the principle of faith. Not believing against the evidence or in the absence of evidence but a faith that is humbly persuaded by the evidence.

Partly the reason for this requirement of faith, is I believe, that He wants us to come to Him freely without being compelled in some way into it. We lost relationship by distrusting Him, now we must learn to freely trust in Him again also. You can come to Him by Faith or you can choose to remain in rebellion. He will not compel you into a relationship with Himself.

Every atheist/agnostic will come to see that God is indeed there and was not hard to find at all despite their protestations. I believe that with humility and by addressing the evidence fairly anyone can easily perceive there is a Creator. Of course mere intellectual belief in a Creator alone eternally saves no one. They must get to Jesus and trust in Him in particular.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world.

He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.”
